Product description

Notes
The oil mist adsorber filter must be completely replaced after saturation.
Design basis are medium, tank volume and evaporated oil volume.
Description
The oil mist adsorber filters of the HK FI AD E0 VG series are disposable oil mist separators without valves.
They are suitable for indoor and outdoor use on hydraulic units, gearboxes, barrels and IBCs.
The plastic housing is filled with activated carbon.
In combination with a splash guard and oil demister, the activated carbon cleans the air flowing out of the system and thus protects the environment from contamination by oil aerosols.
If the adsorber is saturated (discoloration of the white silica gel layer), it is replaced.
Further information
The oil mist adsorber filter binds the oil particles contained in the outflowing air.
Larger oil aerosols stick to the metal demister, condense and drip back into the tank. The smaller oil aerosols are bound in the pores of the activated carbon.
The saturation (loading) and the necessary replacement of the filter cartridge is indicated by a colour change of the white layer from colourless to brown.
The adsorber is completely replaced after saturation.
Activated carbon mainly consists of carbon with a highly porous structure. The pores are interconnected like a sponge. Activated carbon mainly consists of carbon with a highly porous structure. The pores are interconnected like a sponge.
The inner surface is between 300 and 2000 m²/g coal, so the inner surface of four grams of activated carbon corresponds approximately to the area of a soccer field. The density of activated carbon is in the range of 0.2 to 0.6 g/cm³.
Activated carbon binds non-polar substances (substances that cannot be mixed with water) in the internal pores.
Ordering information
For mounting on the tank, the KH FI AD FS FILL filling flange is required.
